“I’m gonna”
We all know this guy. The TALK about “I’m gonna” do all of these amazing things, but there is never any follow through. I’ve seen in my entire life. In professional wrestling, it’s always the promoter who is “just about” to sign that big TV deal, or get that new building, or as soon as that grant money comes in they are gonna do ALL of these awesome things… Just hang in there, because “I’m gonna.”
The older I get, I understand how utterly full of shit most humans are. Hell, sometimes, it’s not even like they are TRYING to bullshit you – They may actually believe they can DO the things they are “gonna” do… but they rarely do.
So you can be disappointed and bitter and jaded that you were optimistic about someone else’s “I’m gonna’s” or… you can create your own and then… and here is the trick:
You actually fucking do it.
Don’t WAIT for someone else. YOU make the things happen. YOU do it. Do it just because THEY can’t, or won’t. Guess what? They are going to be SO PISSED at YOU because YOU did the thing THEY didn’t have the balls or the ability to do.
YOU did it.
I have multiple degrees in a variety of fields, but my PhD is in “Figuring shit out” – It is a LOT of work, but it is absolutely worth it.
